Anxiety Hound is a comic series about a very nervous basset hound navigating his feelings and the strange world around him. Most of the comics are hand-drawn and painted with watercolor.

In 2016, Katrina started drawing basset hounds to soothe her own anxiety. Putting her doodles and comics online created a following of basset hound enthusiasts and mental health advocates alike, which has been very meaningful.

It's small and square, great for keeping in your backpack to read on public transportation or while sitting in the park. Sometimes I don't love using the word anxiety so much. Labelling something as "just anxiety" (which I am guilty of) can feel invalidating, or not enough. We are all weird and complex and anxious and funny. Life is hard but scattered with moments of joy and connection, and I hope this book brings some of those moments for you.
